The Red Devils Set to Secure German Striker Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich

The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.

The forward, with half a year remaining on her contract, is known as a prolific goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. Her arrival will be seen as a major signing for the Women’s Super League side.

Departure from Bayern has been anticipated after she appeared to be fighting back tears while thanking the German club’s supporters following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently.

Reports in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its top strikers. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the transfer are now finalised.

The 28-year-old’s arrival should represent a significant boost to United’s attacking options. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
