The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign

This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing firm views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed passion for treats. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless stream of chatter to those who wants to hear. Much like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite like a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress even more about others.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
