AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a surprising partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's third free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
